After growing up mostly in southern and west Africa and not knowing what I wanted to do I ended up studying Agricultural Economics and then Geographic Information Systems (GIS) at Edinburgh University. After that I worked in jobs that brought together my love for being outside with GIS working for various government and NGO organisations. In 2012 with two small children in tow we bought Upper Bogrow a former croft near Tain. I started Highland Mapping at small scale whilst we renovated the house and started a charcuterie business to add value to the farm produce. Whilst the charcuterie was a great learning experience I have now returned full time to making maps!
